What is this?
I'm excited to introduce you to 2 unique market experiences in San Diego. First, we'll tour SPECIALTY PRODUCE where we'll see all of their coolers, inventory, systems etc. and then have an opportunity to purchase in their customer store area. The tour coordinator suggests you bring a sweater and definitely wear CLOSED TOE SHOES. The tour is 60-90 minutes long. We'll then go to ZION MARKET in Clairemont which is a Korean market and lunch mall. You can choose to eat first or wander the aisles and see all of the unique items that they carry.
Parking is tricky at SPECIALTY PRODUCE, but ZION MARKET has plenty of easy parking. SPECIALTY has 4 customer spots at the front of the building, 6 spots at Hancock and Noelle and an over flow parking lot on Noelle between the train tracks and Frontage Rd across from the storage place. Each person has to SIGN IN so plan to be there early to take care of that although the tour can not start until 10 am. If possible, car pool to SPECIALTY.
The items that I love at SPECIALTY are their herbs, which are a super reasonable price, and at ZION, I think their vegetables are a great price. You'll see...bring some shopping bags and enjoy this different kind of shopping.
I'll have maps with me for directions to ZION after SPECIALTY. See you at the market!
