About this event

HIKE TECOLOTE CANYON

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2019 @ 9:30am

We tried to do this hike last December and got rained out.Let’s try again! Please join us for a hike in Tecolote Canyon, a favorite for San Diegans!

The 900 acre Tecolote Canyon Natural Park knifes into two of San Diego's older neighborhoods, Claremont and Linda Vista. Tecolote Canyon is regarded as a valued habitat for native plants and animals and also welcomes visitors!  By day you're sure to spot a hawk soaring  on the crown of a dead oak tree.  It is called a natural park because of the native vegetation with in it such as Sage scrub, Sage brush, white sage, Black sage, lemonade berry, and many others. Live Oaks, willows, and Sycamore scroll along the stream channel in places where water is more plentiful.
