HIKE - Elfin Forest Reserve
Cross over all year Running Escondido Creek and head up the rather steep one-mile Way Up Trail. The reward at the top is great views of the valley and the lake with a mature coastal sage scrub environment. This 5- mile hike is rated strenuous as the first mile of the trail takes you straight up almost 1000 feet in elevation gain.

Bring hiking poles, plenty of liquid, a snack and wear good hiking boots. Restrooms at the bottom.
