HIKE SAN DIEGO RIVER TRAIL IN WEST SANTEE

DESCRIPTION:
This is a segment of a 52 mile long river park and trail system that will someday extend from the river’s headwaters in Julian to the Pacific ocean at Ocean Beach. The trail is. at times, a cement sidewalk, compressed decomposed granite or dirt pathways. It is a quiet oasis of trees, shade, and water in the middle of Santee.

DIRECTIONS:
From 15, take 52 E. Take the Mission Gorge ramp and continue east to Town Center Parkway. Turn left. Just pass Costco, make another left into the Walmart parking lot. We will meet on the far side of the Walmart lot near the river.
