HIKE CRESTRIDGE ECOLOGICAL RESERVE

Description: Crestridge Ecological Reserve is a 3000 acre well maintained park located in Crest, an unincorporated community in El Cajon. It supports oak woodlands, surrounded by coastal sage scrub and chaparral. These habitats provide nesting and foraging habitat for raptor species and native plant species. There will be frequent gradual ascents and descents along the trail. The visitor center is made out of straw and was designed by James Hubbell.

Directions:
In your GPS enter Crestridge Ecological Reserve Visitors Center, 1175 Horsemill Rd., El Cajon California
Or
You will need to go east on I-8. You can do this directly or take 52 East to 67 south to 8 east. Those coming from the north can access 67 south and then connect with 8.
Exit at Crest, Greenfield Drive, after approximately 1/4 mile turn left onto La Cresta Rd. After 3 miles turn left on Mountain View Rd.
After 1 1/4 miles turn left on Horsemill Rd and continue straight for 1/2 mile to park. Park on the shoulder of the road. Meet at Visitor Center.
