Description: The Ramona Grasslands Preserve is located in the Santa Maria Valley. It includes a significant section of the remaining undeveloped portion of the Santa Maria Creek watershed. The watershed supports a mosaic of habitat types, including native and non-native grasslands, coastal sage scrub, chaparral, and oak woodlands.

Directions: Trailhead: From state Route 67 heading east, just past Mount Woodson, turn left at Archie Moore Road; go 1.6 miles and continue straight ahead onto Highland Valley Road East. In about 1 mile, the preserve will be on your left.
additional: From I-8 go north on Hwy. 67 toward Ramona. Turn left (north) on Archie Moore Road Go east on Highland Valley Road
