HIKE BESSEMER PATH, POINT LOMA

This is where we can experience some beautiful views of San Diego harbor and skyline with a very pleasant looping walk/hike along Sn Diego Bay’s west shore and up along the narrow residential lane of Point Loma’s La Playa neighborhood. Bessemer Path is a portion of the historical La Playa Trail, the oldest European trail along the Pacific Coast. Native Kumeyaay Indians were first to use the trail.

Rated easy along the bay and then moderate as we climb up to the residential area.
Bring a hat, sunscreen, poles and water

Directions:
Head to Rosecrans Street in Point Loma, either from I-5 or I-8 and continue to Talbot Street. Turn left(east) to Anchorage Lane, and park by the San Diego Yacht club. The path is a short distance from there.
