Description: One of my favorite hikes in SD County. Experience Chaparral, Coastal Sage Scrub, Riparian, Lake and Oak Woodland habitats on this moderate 5.5 mile hike through the Blue Sky Reserve and around pretty Lake Poway.
Poles highly recommended, good hiking shoes, bring a snack and plenty of water. Restrooms available at the beginning and several locations along the trail. A few rocky areas, some decompossed granite downslopes a several hills.
Location: Parking lot located at this GPS address: 16275 Espola Rd, Poway, CA 92064. Exit I – 15 at Rancho Bernardo Road and go east for 2 ½ miles. Blue Sky parking lot is on the left side of the road
